This past week has been nothing but overcast and drizzle and I love it! It reminds me of home. All of the natives have been complaining about it though. I have had an awesome week like always. Last night was Super Bowl Sunday of Spain because it was Madrid’s soccer team playing Barcelona’s soccer team and it is a huge deal here people were all gathered in the street as stores projected it up on the side of their buildings and you could hear the yelling everywhere it was pretty cool. Also I saw someone roll a joint on the bus when she was with her kids and that shocked me a little so I think I’m starting to get missionary goggles. Also I had my first door slam. We knocked on her door because someone gave her to us as a reference and she looked at us and said "the Mormons" and then slammed the door so that was fun.
If you guys thought that Mormon standard time was bad you guys should come here and see Spanish Mormon Standard time! It’s real bad.. Everything starts a solid 20-30 mins even sacrament meeting! Even after that people walk in late.
Still finding!! We do lots of street contacting and have been milking the members for references but it’s not working so we got to street find. Hopefully next week’s email I will be telling you guys about a baptism that we got. Praying pretty hard about that. There is a lady that we have been talking to that works so much we can’t get an appointment. We found her as we were waiting at the bus stop and she was coming up and some Jehovah Witnesses (they are everywhere) started talking to her. She was listening to them, so after I said lets go talk to her and we did and she was awesome. We never have time to talk to her but the other day we caught her right before work and gave her a Plan of Salvation pamphlet and told her a little bit about it and she told us her brother just died and that this is what she has been looking for. Seeing the hope in her eyes was awesome but she is so busy I’m just hoping she makes church a priority but we will see.
Tuesday we and a Tri-Zone conference so we got up early and took a bus. There three zones gathered together and president came and gave some devotionals and we ate and it was really good. Also I got to see some of my MTC buddies so that was nice too.
I have been out for two months now! Time on the mission is so weird! It goes by so fast but so slow at the same time! We got to go bowling as a district today and it was really fun and I really like my district. I get headaches in church too because I’m constantly trying to translate in my head!!!
I heard there have been complaints about my spelling and grammar so I would like to formally apologize for it because I have to type so fast and don’t have time to read over it :)
